| I
am a philosopher primarily interested in moral philosophy and currently
a Ph.D. student at Rice University. Before arriving in Texas in 2010, I
spent four years at Heidelberg University where I earned a Diplom (the
German equivalent of a Master's degree) in Theoretical Physics. I have lectured and published across four continents on topics such as human rights, animal ethics, logic and string theory. I am an academic, but also an activist. I believe that philosophy can, and must, involve itself in the pressing social and political issues of our time. I have been engaged in the animal rights movement, the fight against extreme poverty and the struggle against the discrimination against sexual minorities. In my spare time, I am a motorcyclist, a hobby photographer and a traveler. It's Khukie with whom I enjoy doing things most. |
